Official Opening and Blessing Ceremonyfor our Building Education Revolution Project.
This morning (7th December) we celebrated the Official Opening and Blessing Ceremony for our Building Education Revolution Project. Senator Mark Bishop from Western Australia performed the official duties on behalf of the Australian Government. Mr Michael Ciccarelli represented the Director of Catholic Education, Mr Ron Dullard, and there were plenty of other invited guests, parents and caregivers who joined the staff and students for this auspicious occasion. It was wonderful to finally be able to officially celebrate the completion of this long awaited and much anticipated project. This project, which was originally conceived as part of the school’s Capital Development Plan back in 2007, is now finished and the children and staff are enjoying the greatly improved facilities.
I would especially like to thank Mr Wyllie for organising this morning’s wonderful ceremony. My thanks also to our world-renowned P&F Association who organised the beautiful morning tea we enjoyed after the ceremony. An enormous vote of thank to Mrs Perry for coordinating the musical entertainment for the ceremony and morning tea. The choir and the instrumental performances were fantastic and brought that element of culture and sophistication to the celebrations. Thank you to all the children who sang in the Choir or performed instrumental pieces … you were simply brilliant!
